The Year of the Righteous

Psalms 37:29 - The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

If one recollects the pass 2 messages, the second last was about being blessed in the Lord and being protected not only from evil people but all things including evil spirits, weaknesses and needs. The last message was about being in the Will / Word of God and not distorting it so as to receive of it. Distorting / adding unto the Word does not necessary mean during preaching but means also as to what we believe of the Word of God. We cannot create our own fairy-tales and then expect them to come true; and when they do not we think God is not listening or His Word does not work.

Today as I asked the Lord about this year and what it holds for us we received the same message.

At the New Year's Eve service the Lord had but a word in the heart of our Pastor to share with the congregation. Even though he was not preaching he came out and shared it with us. The message was the same which the Lord has been telling us. The Pastor's message was rooted on Jeremiah 29:11 (refer 10-13) which tells us when we return to the place God appointed us (not physical place but being in the Will of God) we will be protected and will receive the desires of our hearts, we will seek Him and He will be found.

In today's message to us the Lord tells us 'the righteous shall inherit the land and dwell there for ever'. This land is not some earthly property for this world itself is not forever and we would not be living in the flesh forever. This land is the Kingdom of God for the Kingdom of God alone is a place that is forever. That does not necessary incline that the scripture means, after our death we will benefit of today's promise.

Let me explain this by example. If we consider the Kingdom of God to be like a bright spot light in a dark room, we know it would be round and focused on a specific area. The place where it is focused would be bright and the places around would be dark. From far we would even see a clear shape of the spot light. But when we go close we would see even the dark area around the edge of the spot light would be receiving a substantial amount of light.

The Will of God is perfect in the Kingdom of God but when we abide by the Will of God in whatever way we can on earth we dwell on the edge of the Kingdom of God and thus experience His glory even in this world.

So the Lord is telling us by today's message, we can extend Heaven here on earth this year by walking in His Will.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You are God and seated on your Throne of Glory in the Heavens above. Lord, we thank You that You are letting your glory be manifested down here on earth this year. We thank You for opening Heaven's window for us this year. We pray Lord, we take this opportunity and abide by your Will and experience your glory here on earth...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference ]
Jeremiah 29:10-13 [ESV]
10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
