Are you able?

Able

Today I received just the word 'able' and many of us have a very wrong understanding on this word in the Bible. One of the main reasons we fail in our spiritual and cosmic life is the reason we try to do things ourselves.

In the Bible especially the KJV translation uses the word 'shall' in many places. In instructions the Lord gives us when we find the word 'shall' we think this instruction is for us and we try to do it and then struggle.

First thing we need to understand the word 'shall' is not used with 'I' or 'you' but with 'we', so everywhere we see the word 'shall' the instruction is not only for us but also for the Lord Himself. He is telling us that He will be party of making this happen, along with us. He will work with us as a team to make sure this task is completed successfully.

The Lord is omnipotent and everything is possible for Him, for He is able. When it comes to us we too are able not because we are omnipotent but because He who is omnipotent is with us and as a team we are able.

If we are struggling in any area in our lives we need to ask ourselves are we working with the Lord as a team or are we trying by our own selves?

It is time we put a big STOP sign on our single lanes for we all know how long and unsuccessful this lanes are. Let us as a team work with the One Who is Able and thus walk on the road of eternal success.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, forgive us for the times we have tried to do things and failed again and again. We took the small successes as victories and then found them turn as greater problems. Lord, help us to work with You by letting You work in us and through us. It is not we, but You in us and through us that we can have true success over all things for You are Able, and because of You we are able...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
