Commit your way unto the Lord's way, not the other way around

Psalms 37:5 - Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

To my yesterday's mail on Tithing I received a response from a brother who was against the concept of Tithing. He considered it a curse or burden which was put on the people before Christ. Now that Jesus broke all curses we are free of Tithing.

Please understand my dear brothers and sisters in the Lord. Tithing is not a curse or a burden; it is the way of the Lord to build us and to build His Church.

The concept of Tax came because the government needs resources to build the community, but since the people in-charge started misusing the funds, people started building hate unto Tax.

Our God is not man, nor does He not need your money, or anything of you, not even you to build His Church. You should consider it a privilege to be a part of it. God is your provider and can also be the direct giver unto the person He was to give via you. He provides you that 'extra' so that you can be blessed by being his angel. You may say I do not have that 'extra', yet you need to give so that you pass the test and come to the stage of 'extra'.

Tithing does not mean only giving money. It also includes giving time and love.

By Tithing God achieves many things;

1) It helps you build your relationship with Him, acknowledging Him as your provider
2) It helps build you in overcoming your flesh
3) It helps build the Church as a Body
4) It helps the love and mercy of God shine into the world

Jesus did make a change, He took Tithing (Ten percent) to its next level of just Giving (with no limits). After you receive the Spirit of God and are baptized in the Holy Spirit, you will find that Tithing will automatically upgrade to Giving. The Lord will start to tell you where to give and how much to give and this does not have any limits; it may be 5 percent, 25 percent or even 100 percent.

People are crying with Tithing; imagine what they will do when the Lord starts to tell them to Give.

Submit to the way of the Lord, for all His ways are good. They will build you, bless you and prosper you.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, You have proclaimed your ways unto us in your Word. You know us and You know best how to help us overcome. Help us Lord that we abide by your ways so that we loose not the purpose You made us in the flesh and loose the plans You have for us...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Matthew 23:8-11
8 But be not ye called Rabbi (means great): for one is your Master (means guide), Christ; and all ye are brethren.
9 And call no man (refers to any person - male or female) your father (means provider) upon the earth: for one is your Father (means provider), which is in heaven.
10 Neither be ye called masters (guides): for one is your Master (guide), Christ.
11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Matthew 5:38-48
38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
