The Lord is against His Sheepfold

Jeremiah 49:13-16
13 For I have sworn by myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah [means sheepfold] shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes. 14 I have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.
15 For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men.
16 Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.

Since these few days the messages have not been good for us. The Lord is again and again warning us. These warnings are against His own people.

In today's message the Lord is talking of gathering the external forces against His people and has given 3 reasons for it.

1) Lack of Fear of the Lord.
2) Pride in the hearts of His people.
3) Great worldly ambitions or desires.

These messages have been for His people; people who know the Lord and have taken Him for granted. They have knowledge of the things of the Kingdom of God and have been misusing His blessings for their own personal gratification.

The Lord is telling us He is gathering forces against us to subdue us. It is time we wake up and reassess our lives and our walk with the Lord. It is time we concentrate on having a close relationship with Him and stop following Him like a religion. Christianity is not a religion, or a social club or a social status. It is a relationship with God and His people. We may justify ourselves by saying we are doing this and doing that and compared to others we are many times better.

Just a few minutes back before I started writing today's message a precious sister had posted a message that she was in a very bad situation. When I prayed unto the Lord the message was clear and connected to today's message.

The Lord is reminding us what Jesus said and is recorded in Mark 4:24-25
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

Let us reassess our walk with the Lord and according to our blessings let us also dedicate ourselves unto the Lord. Let us stop living more for ourselves and start living more unto the Lord and His Kingdom. If the Lord is blessed us with spiritual gifts, let us use it more for His glory and for His Kingdom. If He has a plan for us and a purpose for us let us abide unto it. Let us not do it compared to other but according to what capacity we are blessed with.

One thing we know even in His anger the mercy of the Lord reins. So today if we organise our lives we know the Lord will bring us out of these situations and His anger will be dispersed from being against us.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You created us with a purpose and thus provided for us accordingly. You are the giver and what You have given when we do not use it well it angers You. Lord, You are again and again reminding us to be aware of your presence, might and purpose. In these times of our abundance grace help us not miss it or misuse it but help us live for your Kingdom and its glory...

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
