Who is your real enemy?

Matthew 5:44,45 - But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Jesus gave us one of the most difficult instructions to do - love your enemies.

The Greek word used for enemies 'echthros' actually means 'to hate' it comes from echtho (to hate). What the Lord wants to say is the people you hate are not your real enemy.

Come to reality and understand the real enemy who is not only using that other person but via that person is also using you to do its mission. If you realize the true plan of the real enemy and want to defeat it, then there is only one option for you and that is to love the person you have been made to hate.

Let's fail the plans of the real enemy and overcome the emotion of hate in us towards other people. Let us show affection and love towards them and this will show God's wisdom in us. Therefore we will be identified as children of God.

Even against the ones that hate you (Greek 'miseo' comes from 'misos' - hatred) do not let the plan of the enemy succeed in you. Use the right weapons and armour against the weapons of the enemy.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, You are light and love. The enemy does not like the light nor can stand your love therefore wants to destroy by bringing hate in us to create darkness. This darkness brings in sickness, loneliness, depression and faithlessness to ultimately destroy us. Lord God, help us fail the plans of the enemy and overcome ourselves...

This we ask in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Ephesians 6:12-13
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
