Do not ignore the Only Way; you stiff-necked

Isaiah 55:6,7 - Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Yesterday I was at a Word sharing, and at the session a sister who ministers unto others was sharing how people give excuses to not acknowledge Christ. They justify asking someone else to intercede for them.

Tell me something, Jesus Christ said whoever believes in Him and keeps his Word is his brother or sister; right. If we cannot communication with our own Brother then what justification do we have? God has humbled Himself so much to become man and yet we say 'Lord we can not access You'?

Is the problem with believing or the problem is with keeping his Word?

People do not what to do either one (mostly the later one) or both, therefore turn to excuses. Therefore you will find they do not read or study the Word of God out of fear that it will change them; like the Israelites who wanted to go back to Egypt (the Hebrew word means 'double standard of living') even after seeing the glory of God. Therefore the Lord called them stiff-necked.

Let me tell you dear brother or sister in Christ, the patience of God Who tolerated this since long has started to come to its limit and soon there will be time if you do not change your heart, He will harden it further and that will lead you to your destruction.

When Jesus Christ, Who is the Only Way has humbled Himself so much that every human being can access Him by faith then why are we searching for via-via ways?

All these via-via ways are not going to lead you and me to God even if they claim to do so. No fox is going to tell a sheep openly 'I am going to consume you', nor will a robber say 'I am coming to rob you'.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Father God, You are a merciful God. We lift our hands unto You and ask You to have mercy on your people, who due to the hardness of their hearts are rejecting your Word. Lord we like Moses ask You to let your grace be upon them and not destroy them like You did to the whole generation of Israelites...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Mark 3:30-35
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
31 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

John 14:6
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Numbers 14:2-24
2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.
5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:
7 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
8 If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.
9 Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.
10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
11 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?
12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.
13 And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)
14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
15 Now if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying,
16 Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.
17 And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,
18 The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
19 Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.
20 And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word:
21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.
22 Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;
23 Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:
24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

Deuteronomy 31:25-27
25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,
26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
