The curse on the leaders without wisdom

Jeremiah 8:9-11
9 The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
10 Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness[profit], from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
11 For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

Today's message is something which we are seeing happening in many churches where the congregation gets dispersed to other congregations or churches.

The Lord is saying there are leaders among us who led churches (congregations) and preach about God and yet have rejected the Word. One may wonder how is it possible a person preaching the Word can reject the Word?

We need to understand the Word of God is like a super medicine which is multi-content. It has vitamins to make string (blessings), some elements which our body lacks (promises), pain killer (encouraging Words), antibodies (corrections) etc.

There are many who preach only blessings, promises and encouraging words but the corrections etc. are deleted for they believe our God is a loving Father so He does not rebuke.

How can a father who really loves his child, not correct his child? This can be possible only if the child is perfect.

These people have distorted the Name of the God and therefore, they not having the fear of God lack wisdom. These people preach peace even at the time of caution. Also these same people work in the vineyard of the Lord with the main reason of receiving material blessings. They feel since their God is omnipotent so they should have all things and the best of things. Such preachers will roam with branded products and flashy wares and accumulate riches beyond their needs.

For such people the Lord says He will give their congregations and their harvest unto others.

If you as person go to a Church where the leader keeps saying 'all is well' all the time then you better run out from the door nearest to you and do not turn back. But if he comes to correct you once in a while or preaches about something you are doing which is not right and asks you to change your ways, go and give him a hug, bless him and thank God for a good shepherd.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You are a good shepherd. You weld a staff to guide a stray sheep. You make some of us shepherds over your sheep and we wield your staff. Help us Lord to have understand the purpose of your coming and your Word. Help us to be honest and humble in our work in You. Help us to overcome ourselves and let You in us be...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scripture ]
1 Timothy 3:1-13
1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker [ready for a physical fight], not greedy of filthy lucre [greed of gain]; but patient, not a brawler [one who starts fights], not covetous [no love for money];
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Romans 9:8
8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
