God's people will never be ashamed

Joel 2:26 - ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.


The Prophet Joel wrote around the time the temple was being rebuild. The Word of God came to him saying those who are really concern with building God's Temple (His people) will never be ashamed for the people had concentrated on their own problems more then building God's Temple.

One thing you get it into you, if you are truly dedicated to doing God's work, you may go through problems but the problems will not crush you. The more you surrender to God's will the less the problems you will face. If this is not true then the idea of believing God is worthless.

God's Word says on eagle's wings He will carry us. It does mean a bird but His grace. If the Word of God is true, then this scripture also has to be true.

It angers God when people show themselves as workers in the Lord's vineyard but are doing something else. Their prime agenda is themselves, their carnal desires or their stupidity / stubbornness which mislead others.

People look at us who are called to be an example and when they see the corrupt us or the perpetual suffering us then they lose their trust in God.

Just as I was writing I got to know of a person who preferred ignoring the Word of God for word of man. She would spend most of her time praying for others and social service, she would send me sms to pray for people in need almost everyday. Just now I was told she is in ICU with and the doctors have put under her 25 hours observation.

What ever work you do with how much so ever efforts you put if the purpose of building the Temple is not achieved then what is the use of those efforts. They only serve the purpose of keeping us busy or making us feel good.

Give a fish to the hungry and you satisfy him for the day, show him to fish and you satisfy his everyday.

Help the needy but also show them God who fulfills all their needs.

Let us who are called to lead, mend ourselves and our ways so that we do not lose more of the sheep of the Lord.

Lord God, You are almighty God. Everything in Heaven, on earth and below the earth bow to You. None have power to go against your authority. Even Satan can not touch us when we are under your shadow. Lord, forgive us when we lose focus of our purpose in life. Help us remember that every thing about us is You...
