How do you look at your situation?

Luke 9:12,13 - And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place. But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

Jesus at this time was very sad because He grieved on the loss of His cousin John the Baptist. John the Baptist was also the greatest Man of God at that time and losing such a person really hurt Jesus Christ.

The people who followed Jesus were not only those which followed Him but also those who followed John the Baptist had joined Him. It is written there were five thousand men, but the woman and children were not counted as among the five thousand. That could make the number double or even more keeping in mind in those days there was not family planning.

The 12 disciples of Jesus were very understanding and had out of concern approached Jesus to send the people away so that they would eat.

Even with this huge crowd Jesus did not lose faith nor let His own sorrow overtake Him. He took authority of the situation and fed them. In fact He made this entire crowd be part of the miracle. For the scripture says He showed them how the miracle of multiplication was done and they followed.

When we are in our sorrows or faced by any overwhelming situations do we too keep faith and take authority of our situations like Jesus? Understand this could be time for great miracles.
