We are all a divided house

Mark 3:25 - And if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.


Jesus spoke about how Satan and his team even though they do different things, via different people, sometimes even getting people whom they use against each other if not together against the people of God, yet they are all united in their agenda, their purpose - which is destruction of man.

This thumb rule is not only for the kingdom of Satan this thumb rule is also applicable to the Kingdom of God and for His Church.

The greatest problem with our Church and the reason we have so many denominations is because our agenda, our purpose is not the same. Jesus Christ said His purpose was only one and that was to glorify the Father. We as Christians are followers of Christ and therefore His purpose becomes our purpose. The reason we are divided is because our purposes are different. Some want to glorify themselves like proving they are right, some have not made the Spirit of God the foundation of the Church and some others have their flesh and their carnal desires, good life of earth as the main purpose and God secondary. Each church has different purposes and since their purpose is not the purpose of Jesus Christ the Church is divided.

Firstly realize the Bible is not fully understood by a single soul on earth, yet each one among us thinks they know all. A mature and wise person will sit together debate and dig more into it, so as to stand on common ground and sort the contradictions. Things which are disagreeable can be put aside and taken up again and again later until we get to the root of it.

Here, instead of doing that we are just condemning people who do not go by our understanding. In all this, where is the purpose of Christ to glorify the Father? This also shows how immature in spirit and lacking in wisdom we are. The Holy Spirit of God by whom Jesus Christ came into this world seems to be nonexistent to the Church, the very organization of which He is the potter and foundation.

If we all stick to glorifying the Spirit of God so that via His Spirit and His Son we will be united as one and fulfill the purpose we are all created for and thus we will be able to come before God our Heavenly Father and dwell with Him.

Jesus gave us His Spirit and His Spirit is one, if we are all led by His Spirit then we should be of one mind and one understanding. Our being divided shows we are not led by His Spirit fully.

The Israelites were led in the desert all their forty years by the Spirit of God Who appeared before them in the form of a pillar of cloud in the day and a pillar of fire in the night. The Israelites were a very large group of not less than 1- 2 million people and surely everyone may have not been able to see the pillar which was before them all throughout their forty years walk. They trusted each other and followed those ahead of them who could see the pillar.

The number four symbolizes this world (4 ends/corners of this world, 4 seasons etc.) thus forty years symbolizes the earthly life of God's people.

We the people of God do not have our eyes focused on the Pillar and we do not trust each other therefore are walking in groups and in different directions, sometimes coming together and sometimes walking in opposite directions.

Let us all open our spiritual eyes and the magnificent Pillar which leads us through this life which is like a desert, sometimes having beautiful oasis and sometimes just endless sand hills in all directions. Every time irrespective of the situation the Lord provided for them and will surely provide for us also. They did not need to work for their food or their personal needs, it was all provided. Their cloths did not wear out nor did their shoes. They had to just concentrate of the forces which opposed them and battle them, completely destroying them. This was possible because they followed the Pillar, obeyed instructions of the Lord and carried their CROSS (the Ark of Covenant).

If we learn from them and follow the good things they did into our earthly walk, it will be very easy and we will reach our destination very soon. Like they crossed the river Jordan (which means inheritance) to reach their promise land, we too will receive our inheritance as sons and enter our Promise Land - the (Upper) Heavens.

Lord, we are all a broken family, divided in mind, body and spirit, one brother against another. Lord, we pray that we stop focusing on ourselves and start focusing on You so that we are united in You and by You we are provided and protected. Help us Lord that by carrying our CROSS and being led by You as a Pillar before us confront and destroy the forces which appose us from reaching our destination...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

3 "So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD.
4 "Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years.
5 "You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the LORD your God chastens you.
6 "Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.

Exodus 16:35
35 And the children of Israel ate manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land; they ate manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan.

Numbers 11:31-34
31 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day's journey on this side, and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.
32 And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.
33 And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.
34 And he called the name of that place Kibrothhattaavah: because there they buried the people that lusted.

Deuteronomy 29:2-7
2 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
3 The great temptations which thine eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:
4 Yet the LORD hath not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.
5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.
6 Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.
7 And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon (symbolizing Satan the beast), and Og the king of Bashan (symbolizing Satan the dragon - Lucifer), came out against us unto battle, and we smote them:
