The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever

Psalms 33:11 - The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.


If you ask a mother about her child, she will confidently say that she knows every aspect of her child. She has given physical birth to the child, but the character or nature of her child is not wholly her doing, yet due to her day to day interaction she is very confident about knowing her child.

Now, what would one say about God in this regards. He not only created us physically but also every part of our being is because of Him. Even before we formed eyes in our mother's womb, He knew the color of our eyes. Everything about us is already known to Him. Now if He gives counsel to us can we doubt it?

We have tendency to believe man more than God; we like to believe what we see and the ones whom we see. Let us not be so weak that we depend only on our five senses, let us have faith in God and let true wisdom prevail in us.

Father God, You are our creator. You are Who You Are and You are forever. You Word was before time and created time and standeth for ever. Lord let us realize Who You Are and what we are in You. Help us have faith in You and your Word, for rejecting your Word is like rejecting You...

This we ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
