Do not make beggars of princes

Philippians 4:19 - But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

When the Lord came as Jesus abundance grace was made available to man. So much was the grace that by faith anyone could tap into the grace and be healed.

The Lord Jesus Christ also made available spiritual riches with no limits, for us through his Spirit. That does not mean that in physical we will be beggars and in spirit rich.

Since our fight is with our sinful nature which is associated with our carnal self, therefore in the physical the Lord commits us all our needs. This includes not only money, food, clothes etc. but also time. A believer will not be fighting against time to do one's job.

This means each and every person who believes in Jesus Christ will have every need of theirs fulfilled and in spirit will be abundantly rich.

It is sad that we see these princes (Israel means prince of God) living like beggars because of lack of faith and understanding. And it is even sadder to see people who work for God not helping them come out but struggling with many efforts to make life comfortable for those suffering and keeping them where they are, for example keep on praying for a person every time that person has a problem but not building faith in that person so that problems do not come in his / her life or God directs sorts his / her problems.

Help people when they are in need but more important show them who is their real provider. Do not go the other way by not helping them when they really need our help and only talk to them about God.

When Jesus fed the thousands He did not multiply the bread and fish and give them to eat nor just spoke to them who God is; at both the times He made them do the miracle along with Him by demonstration them how it is done.

Do not be a provider to anyone but by your help show them who their real provider is.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, we thank You for the abundant grace which You have made available for us through Jesus Christ. We also thank You for connecting this grace to faith so that through faith we can tap into this abundant grace. Lord God, You are our provider and all things are made available to us by You. Make us a channel to your people suffering not only to help them in need but to show them You so that they can help others in need...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
