Those black (Ethiopia) will be shaken

Isaiah 18:7 - In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.

This chapter of Isaiah is a prophecy to the people of Ethiopia it does not relate to the people of the place or country called Ethiopia but relates to a certain lot of people. The Hebrew word translated as Ethiopia means black, it relates to people who have hardened their hearts against God. It does not talk of people who have rejected Christ but talks of people who know Christ. The scripture talks of people 'whose land the rivers have spoilt'.

Today's message goes to people who have received abundant blessings in Christ. The Lord is telling them just when they were to be fruitful, or just when they saw good things happen He has cut of their roots. He will cause disunity between them. He will cause their heart to fail. All this He will do because He had blessed them abundantly and they have hardened their heart against Him.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. He says He will do this so as to bring sense in them, to mature them and bring them to Zion His fortified city where they will dwell seeing the glory of God.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, at these times we are seeing things happening and we blame nature and people but forget You exist and You are God Almighty. Lord we pray your people stop hardening their hearts against You, that they do not go by their wise way but submit your knowledge and understanding...
