Do not neglect your sickness

Sirach 38:9-13 [Apocrypha]
9 My son, in thy sickness be not negligent: but pray unto the Lord, and he will make thee whole.
10 Leave off from sin, and order thine hands aright, and cleanse thy heart from all wickedness.
11 Give a sweet savour, and a memorial of fine flour; and make a fat offering, as not being.
12 Then give place to the physician, for the Lord hath created him: let him not go from thee, for thou hast need of him.
13 There is a time when in their hands there is good success.

People known of me highly compliment my faith, but even then there are times in my life when someone in the family has fallen ill and after praying I have not seen that person get healed immediately. Whenever I pray I ask for a message from the Lord and when the message is very clear then 100 percent I have seen healing happen. But when the message is vague, at such time I have to wait. At these times I immediately approach the doctor for assistance.

If one understands the Word of God and life, even after approaching the doctor one needs to pray so that the medicines work quickly.

If you or someone is sick and you have prayed, repented and have not seen a result, please do not take your sickness likely, approach the doctor. Even through the doctor and the medicines it is the Lord who cures; so keep your prayers unceasing.

2 Kings 20:1-7
1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,
3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
4 And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.
6 And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
7 And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
