The Lord is clothed with light, are you too?

Psalms 104:2 - Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

Today's message tells us our God is cover with light as His clothing. It also says He has set the Heavens as a curtain. The Lord says He is covered with light and is asking us today we being His children, are we too covered in light?

We read when Moses met God face to face Moses' face shined so bright that the Israelites had to cover his face for they could not bear to see the brightness of his face. Bible also says the Lord spoke to Moses through dark clouds so that the Lord's brightness did not consume him. Imagine just a short encounter with God that too through dark clouds that was the effect on Moses, then what would be the brightness of God.

Does that mean God shines greater than the brightest star? Even that comparison would be an understatement towards God. The brightness associated with God, which today's scripture speaks of has nothing to do with the brightness like that the light from stars or light as we know in this world. These are just the shadow of the light of God.

Bible says God is light and God existing from the beginning thus light existed from the beginning. But then the Bible starts with the recordings of creation as the existence of God and then the existence of darkness. If there is light how could there have been darkness?

Scientifically, darkness is defined are lack of light or where light is obstructed. Till date there is nothing like total darkness for even the darkness of all darkness is measured. Light in the Bible is symbolic and refers to the plans of God. God says His plans are good and for the betterment of all beings.

In the beginning when man did not exist there was no law in Heaven. The Angels knew the plans of God and followed them. Evil came into existence when one of the Cherubs went against the plans of God and he caused darkness to come into existence. Bible says this Cherub (Lucifer also known as the dragon) later deceived another Cherub (who is known as the beast / young lion) and the Angels under them, and thus caused a third of the Angels to fall. To eliminate this darkness God could have just destroyed the whole lot of these fallen beings but since God is Good therefore He wanted to do something good even from this situation. He thus created man a being lower than the Angels (in spirit man is identical to the Angels but being put in the flesh was lower than them). Then God desired that His light (plans) shine through man such that it overcame darkness and thus man takes the place that vacant those fallen in Heaven.

In the start Lucifer the Cherub had not taken revolt against God as people think. He dwelled very close to the epicentre of the glory of God (the Throne) and in Heaven all things were good. Bible says even these good things were to be taken according to need. But Lucifer took things beyond his needs and then saw these things made him greater than the others; this greed caused pride to come into him, later he started to deceive others with his talks thus caused one evil after the other to come into existence and darkness to grow.

God says when we work or surrender according to His plans we too will be covered with light like He is. Moses dwelled in the times when Truth was not known to man and the grace of God was not available to all. Today we dwell in the times of Christ, times when the Truth has been manifested in the flesh, God became visible to man that too not through a dark cloud. Imagine if we totally surrender to the plans of God how much of His light would shine from us and how we will be clothed with His light.
