Build your faith, be strong

1 Corinthians 16:13 - Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong


I mentioned in my yesterday's mail, that I have been in discussion with a Muslim since some time about Islam and Christianity, about the Quran and the Bible, comparing which is true.

I will tell you, today I may not consider myself fully knowledgeable on the scriptures but I do have some level of understanding due to which I have increased my faith. Also I have a one to one relation with the Lord; so much so that He does not fail me whenever I have communicated with Him (I would put it at 95 percent of the time He answers me directly). My communication with Him is sometimes so strong, more like I have with any other human. He talks to me via vision, scriptures and does things so awesome around me which most will find it unbelievable.

Yet with this level of spiritual growth it is not easy to debate with a person of another faith especially a Muslim, Jew or a misguided Christian.

I would not recommend anyone to get into any debate with them until you have build yourself strong or else you will get lost with them, the ones you are trying to explain.

As this world become smaller and smaller with the better communication and easy availability of information (good and bad, true and false) there are going to come, great challenges to our faith. People are going to show us our own scriptures to prove us wrong or present scientific, historic and archeological data to bring our relation with God to zero. We can not expect to be like an ostrich putting our heads in the sand by wishing nothing can change us. We need to build our resilience to take on questions to our faith.

We need to seriously teach ourselves and our children all about the Bible and build a relationship with God more than what they do in Bible colleges. Because even after having that level of knowledge we have a person who got swayed into Islam because of lack of understanding and relationship with God.

Do not rely on others to always rescue you; they will get you when you are weakest and alone, like Satan tried with Jesus when fasting He was fasting in the dessert.

Be aware of the challenges that will come before you, spend time studying the Word of God and having a relationship with the Lord.

Build your faith, be strong.

Lord God, your people are getting destroyed because they lack knowledge and understanding of your Word and your Kingdom. Also their lack of relationship with You causes them to be mislead to false gods. Satan wants to destroy your people who do not take refuge in You and hold on to You. Lord we need more and more of strong soldiers to fight this war of truth and lies, of light and darkness, send us more and more of them...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Hebrew 5:12-14

Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
