The horn of Moab is cut off

Jeremiah 48:25, 26 - The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the LORD. Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.


In the Bible the Lord uses a pattern or specific symbolizations throughout all the books to explain the present, immediate future and the far future. All who have read the Bible and specially the book of Daniel will know that a horn symbolizes rule.

Today's message is once again speaking of events connected to the Day of the Lord, which is not the End Days or Day of Judgment.

Just to give you the background. The Moab tribe was born out of incestuous relationship between the daughters of Lot and Lot. Lot was the nephew of Abraham. In the start the Lord forbade the Israelites to harm Moab, although the Moab hated Israel. It was the Balak [meaning 'devastator' also identified in the New Testament as false Christs] king of Moab who got Balaam to curse the Israelites but could not because the praises of the Lord was heard among the Israelites. Then by the knowledge of Balaam, Balak got pass the protection of the Lord on the Israelites by getting Israel to fornicate with the women [New Testament and in today's day symbolizes idols] of Moab, due to which thousands of Israelites died by the wrath of God.

It was this reason that the Lord instructed Israel not to spare even the women and children of Moab and this instruction was executed that too after giving Moab years to repent.

In today's day the Moabs in spiritual sense are the goats among the Lord's flock. They are the ones who got the Lord's people to lose the protection of the Lord on them and receive the wrath of God in the early Christian years by fornication with things considered ungodly like idols. Their period for repentance is almost over.

Today's warning among the last warnings to them and also a message to us. The warning is the Lord is now going to systematically bring down the rulers of Moab and the Lord has also asked us to let forth the wrath of the Lord to come on them. For we should not stand in between them and the anger of the Lord, but to step aside from them identifying ourselves as not part of them.

Lord, You are our protector and God. We walked out of your protection by fornicating with ungodly things due to which we went through disasters. Lord, now we have come to know You by your Word and have reconciled with You. We are now your people (Christians) and we separate ourselves from those who are not your people but deceive others by calling themselves as your people. We are people who walk in your Word and your Spirit, not according to man, or traditions of man, or things of this world. Lord, we step aside from among them and let your will be done according to your Word. But we pray Lord let your sheep that are among them hear your call and answer...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.
