Peace in Jerusalem

Psalms 122:6 - Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Jesus by his sacrifice made available many blessings and one of them is peace with God.

In the Old Testament when a peace sacrifice was offered the High Priest would lift the sacrifice up and wave it above the crowd. Jesus being hung on the cross with hand held wide open became a waved sacrifice for the people and thus became the peace sacrifice between God and man.

So let us behold this peace sacrifice and receive peace and prosperity among the people of God.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, during this time when your anger is moving between the people, we behold this peace sacrifice of Jesus hung on the cross. Thou it is You who made this sacrifice available, it is our sacrifice of peace. By this sacrifice we ask You father for peace among your people, so that the prosperity You made available is received. We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Leviticus 10:12-15
12 And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy:
13 And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons' due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded.
14 And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons' due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.
15 The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons' with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.
