The Lord is our way of life, joy and pleasure

Psalm 16:11 - Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Almost all find being a Christian very difficult and the main purpose of this is the choice between this world and Heaven.

Those who love this world will not inherit Heaven and those who love Heaven will have to forsake this world. Forsaking this world does not mean to isolate yourself from people of this world or to not to enjoy life on earth.

Today's scripture says those who walk in the path of life for them the Lord is their joy and the ways of righteousness their pleasure.

Please understand people who love pleasures on the flesh will never to able to love the things of Heaven. Once a person overcomes the pleasures of the flesh then things of the Kingdom of God become their joy. Overcoming this world means not to be thoughtful of the things of this world or compromise in the ways of the Lord for worldly objects. Christianity is not a bore, nor sad people. In fact they are very joyful people, always full of happiness because their joy is not dependant on situations or on availability of things of this world. Whatever they need is given to them by the Lord and their joy brings down the powers of the enemy.

Things, pleasures or relationships of this world can make you happy for some time but they will never be able to keep you happy for long. But things, pleasures and relationship of the Kingdom of God will keep you and strengthen you forever.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord Jesus, You showed us how to be joyful forever. You are not a sad God but a Lord who is a happy God and wants His people to be happy forever. Lord we pray for ourselves and for all your people that their eyes be opened and they realize that there is no happiness in things of this world. Let them understand that your ways are eternal ways and your joy is an eternal joy and the pleasures of your Kingdom are eternal...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
