The Resurrection of Jesus Christ

Luke 24:10 - It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

Yesterday we were given scripture regarding resurrection of us all and today we received a scripture on the same topic but connected to Jesus. To understand resurrection more clearly we need to understand the resurrection of Jesus, for this we need to look at the events with a magnifying glass.

People have been given lost of understandings which they do not verify with scriptures and have received them unconditionally. The people of Thessalonica did not spare even Paul and verified every understanding he preached with the scripture when they went home, this is the reason they were among the most mature in spirit. I may send you some understanding or someone else will, but unless you do not sit by yourself and verify them you will not grow in spirit.

I started my journey with the Lord with a blank page. In the start I had read hardly any books and they were namely 'Good morning Holy Spirit' by Benny Hinn, 'Faith' and 'Thou shall cast away demons', both by Derek Prince. All my understanding was just by sitting with the Lord on a day to day basis, even today on my teaching website I list the books I read so that people would know what and where I get my understanding from.

Today I will attend to some of the myths connected with the resurrection of Jesus.

Myth no 1 - Resurrection of Jesus was a sign of Joanna.

When Jesus died of the cross the time was the 3rd watch which was evening time. The death was on a Thursday as per the scripture in John. Friday was a special Sabbath and Jesus resurrected on Sunday the day of celebration of the Peace sacrifice. So that does not make it 3 days and 3 nights as it was in the case of Joanna. Jesus resurrected on the 3rd day not completing the 3rd day.

Now about the sign of Jonah, Jesus said this sign was a sign for the wicket nations, why did Jesus say this. You will find it interesting to know that Jonah did not run away because he was scared. Jonah knew that the task which was given to him would surely be successful and had to complete in the time period of 40 days as declared by the Lord. So Jonah went in a direction or destination from where it would take him more than 40 days to reach Nineveh. Jonah did this because he wanted the wicket people (the state of their wickedness can be understood from historical data) to be punished, he did not want them to receive the message of repentance and be saved. This is confirmed by Jonah's actions after the Ninevites repented and were saved. But God had his way and took Jonah back to Nineveth in a way he did not expect (about Jonah being in the belly of a whale there is substantial proof and he has not been the only one who lived through the belly of a whale, another who lived in the belly of a whale for nearly a day is James Bartley). In fact Jonah's rebelling helped the message strike the message of repentance in the hearts of the Nineveties. It had made him pale all over and also they were expecting a man coming from a fish to be their savior (the walls of Nineveth had such a carving near the entrance gate).

Hell does not work of basis of earthly time that Jesus needed to be there for 2 and half earthly days. This was a symbolic to show that just before the 12th hour the Lord will save us, for had Jesus resurrected completing the 3rd day we would not have any hope to be saved.

Understand spirit man has a limited life span and which was revealed to me by the Lord as 3000 years. There is no scripture which says this but this understanding is proven in the whole Bible. When you understand this then you will have the fear of the Lord in you.

Jesus came just before 3000 years from the time of Noah to save the souls since Noah who were in Hell and fulfill His promise to Noah. Also He came just in time before the End Day which will be about 2500AD (this figure is given in many places including books of Moses and Daniel) so as to save us (this makes all the events stated in the Bible to be completed within this time period for the end will not come until every scripture is fulfilled).

Myth no. 2 - Jesus defeated Satan on the crucifix.

This is a concept which man believes in because they have bought God down to the level of human understanding. God is the Almighty Creator, Omnipotent and Omnipresent. Nothing was and is without Him. Satan too is God's creation and is no competition for the Lord. The Lord took time and pain throughout creation not because it is difficult to finish Satan; He would do that with just a word of His mouth. He did all this so that man could be blessed with the plans God has for him before Satan is accounted for his doing. When Jesus said He is going to the Father where there are many mansions and will prepare a place for us. It is not that Heaven is incomplete that Jesus is completing the job. When God created this creation Heaven already existed in its completion. The mansions already exist and Jesus is not doing the interior decoration of these mansions. When Jesus said this word it was a metaphor which means He is preparing the hearts of man to receive the various mansions which exist in Heaven. Though Jesus is there work is happening here through the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Heaven is not just a great big hall; it has many levels all according to the spiritual riches of a soul which dwells at that level. The Heaven of Heavens is the highest level closest to God's glorious throne (throne does not mean a chair for God is not man, God is present everywhere but His glory is prominent in a specific level which is specific as Throne).

The sacrifice of Jesus was for the healing of man and reconciling of man to God. You can say Jesus defeated the plans of Satan on the crucifix but to deal with Satan Jesus will come again as man on a cloud with his Angels.

Myth no. 3 - the sacrifice was completed on the crucifix.

You will understand the sacrifice of Jesus when you realize that Jesus fulfilled all the sacrifices of Moses in His sacrifice. When I was studying the books of Moses the Lord opened my mind to each sacrifice and revealed how it was fulfilled in Jesus (this I have been writing on my teaching on Jesus The Ultimate Sacrifice taking into account all the 4 Gospels). If you observe Jesus did two odd things after He resurrected. One was He did not allow Mary Magdalene to touch Him and second He went for a stroll in the wilderness on to Galilee.

About Jesus not allowing Mary Magdalene to touch Him but after His stroll He allows Thomas to touch Him. If you look at the words which Jesus spoke to Mary denying her to touch Him, He gave the reason that He had yet not ascended to the Father. Heaven is not a planet some place in space that Jesus needed clouds to rise up above the earth. Jesus denied Mary to touch Him because He had not completed the sacrifice even after He came back from Hell. His walking in the desert going to Galilee was the last sacrifice which needed to be complete. Jesus did nothing just for the sake of it; He did not have any specific purpose to go to Galilee.

If you go into each sacrifice which Jesus did in His sacrifice you will understand richness of the Lord's sacrifice. His Blood is not so cheap to be used against Satan, He shed it for you and me to save us from the wrath of God. For Satan just His Name is sufficient.

The sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Resurrection) was not just the death and reappearing of Jesus, it was to open a door by the cancellation of the sentence of death which was on man. Today you and I have a hope to enter Heaven because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord Jesus, we thank You for your mercies. Your sacrifice was a completion of all that was required to heal and reconcile man to God. By your sacrifice You opened the door which was shut for man to enter Heaven, thus giving us a new hope to enter into our inheritance in You in Heaven. Lord by your Spirit take us through this door, while we are on earth prepare our hearts so that we receive great in your House...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
