The four necessary ingredients to have in your speech

Colossians 4:5,6 - Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Firstly I would like to ask forgiveness from all for not sending yesterday's mail. Yesterday I was not in a frame of mind to sit and write. A few people close to me and very dear to me with whom I had shared some truth, could not take what I had pointed out to them and this effected their relation with me.

Today I sat with great efforts to make sure I send today's message and I received this message. I know it is for me, but it could also be for many among you.

The Lord is telling us in our conversation with others we need to make sure of four ingredients:

Wisdom - especially when the person we are speaking to lacks it. One needs to use the right words and present them in the right way to them.
Time - is it the right time for us to speak what we want to say. Regarding the God's Word, God has set a time table in the Bible when He will disclose certain truths to the masses. The men and women of God may know it but God prevents them from reaching the hearts of masses for He knows they will break down if they hear it.
Grace - grace comes with time and heart condition of the person. Grace of Lord Jesus Christ is there always for us, but we are able to only tap into a pinch of it because of our heart conditions. The experience we ourselves go through and the testimony of others make us tap more and more into the grace made available for us. So when we speak we need to discern the heart of the persons before us and then speak.
Salt - what we speak should not be just to please others but to also build them and bring the best out of them. Like salt we need to enhance the flavor out of the person we speak to.

The quantity of these ingredients varies with each individual we speak to. Therefore even if you know something (like I did), do not throw it on to others, discern the four aspects before sharing it. When I sit to write I pray and weight each word I write, but when I am conversing with people known many times I put my alertness down and was not in prayer (communicating with the Holy Spirit) while speaking. Therefore we need to be in prayer at all times even when speaking to others (new, as well as our close ones).

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, forgive us for the times we have not walked according to your will. Even with good intentions we have created problems for others. Like a mother knows what to be feed to her child and when, You know what your people need, when and how it should be given unto them. Lord we specially prayer for your workers in your vineyard, that You guide their every word and action which speaks out unto your children...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Job 19:23-27(Job was written before the books of Moses, he was the grand uncle of Moses)
23 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! (which is not in the Bible)
24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
25 For I know that my redeemer (Brother and Savior) liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: (coming of Jesus Christ)
26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: (resurrection)
27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

2 Corinthians 12:2-11
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. 5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.
6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
11 I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.

Mark 9:49-50
49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
