The Public Relations of the Pastor or Priest (Deacon)

1 Timothy 3:7,8,9 - Moreover he must have good testimony from them that are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. Likewise [even so] must the deacons [ministers] be grave [reverend], not doubletongued [saying one thing with one person another with another], not given to much wine [winebibbers], not greedy of filthy lucre [greedy for money]; Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

Leaders of the Church give a great importance to public relations it is by public relations that they get their work of the Church coordinated and executed.

Paul in his letter to Timothy, wherein he guides Timothy in grooming the right deacon, advices upon the importance of public relations factor of the deacon.

Many deacons do follow this but they should also give importance to the next lines wherein Paul says this public relationship should not be based on lying or deceit. He also says the deacon should be free for intoxications like wine and money. Also he should be strong in his basics of belief even those he is not clearly understood and not relieved to him.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Dear Lord, we pray for the deacons of the Church, those whom You have selected to lead and nurture your sheep. Lord they represent You as the shepherd and let them realize this in their every word and action. Even with the people not knowing You should see You in our deacons...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
