Wait on the Lord - have courage

Psalms 27:14 - Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

By my old nature I could spend a lot of time doing unwanted work or doing no work at all, but ask me to wait and that would be impossible. The moment I have to wait and I have not been given a definite time till when, then I would be thinking will it be in five minute or an hour or did I miss it because I got distracted? One literally starts to fight with one's self.

The Lord knew me well therefore helped me build my patience. When you understand the ways of the Lord, you will automatically learn to be patient. Being patient does not mean to sleep; it means to wait being alert and in expectation.

If you have been given a promise and you are waiting on the Lord, use the testimonies of others to help you to be patient, in expectation. Once you start to build your own testimonies they will help you even more and make your waiting easy, since the Lord never fails to deliver.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, You have been patient with us. From the day You created me You have been waiting when You will see Jesus in me. Lord, teach me to be patient like You, to wait for your promises and to receive it in full measure. Lord, every word You have spoken You have and will deliver; let not my impatience make me loose it. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
