Time of fulfilment of prophecies

Zephaniah 2:4 - For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.

In the timeline of history there were period of happening and periods of silence where nothing historical happened.

The Bible notes and speaks of historical events that happened and will happen. It is not necessary that all world historical events would be found plainly written in the Bible (unless one gets into Bible Codes) but one would find certain events written not just once but repeated in many books through the mouths of many Prophets.

Understanding the Bible is not a historical book or a prophecy book, but is a book that is concerning the salvation of mankind, it does include historical records and prophecies which affect the walk of man according to the law of God. Now some of the prophecies are repeated because they have a great importance and ramification spiritually and worldly on the people of God.

We live in a time of happening, a time of prophecies wherein many good and bad both are happening. We find many people shaken up with the things that are happening in our era. They think that the end time is near. If these people look at the prophecies in the Bible we are in a time of grinding, polishing and filtering, where God is working on His people preparing them for the next stage wherein His Church comes in glory, united as one Church, a Church of power and authority.

Today's message talks of Gaza, Ashkelon, Ashdod and Ekron, how the wrath of God would fall on them. The common thing between all four of them is that they are cities of the then Philistine. To understand the prophecy with regards to our time we need to get into word study, getting to the Hebrew / Greek meaning, grammar, history etc. of each word.

Philistine means immigrants
Gaza means strong / fierce (among immigrants)
Ashkelon means I will be weighed / paid out
Ashdod means powerful (among immigrants)
Ekron means emigration or torn up by the roots

Today's message talks of the immigrant Christians. People who call themselves Christians but have no relationship with Christ and His purpose, they are following a religion called Christianity. They are people who think all religions lead to one God, people who think being good is the most important thing above all things, they are people who think Word of God need not be followed verbatim (in spirit) but doing a part of it is okay, they are people who think all will be saved because Jesus came to save all mankind irrespective they accept Christ or reject Him what is important is they do some rituals in the name of God and do not harm anyone.

Christianity is about overcoming, overcoming spiritual corruption with the Truth (God's Word), it is about overcoming one's carnal nature by walking in the way of the Lord, it is about carrying the Cross of Christ – purpose of Christ of bringing His sheep to Him, it is about building each other in the Lord so that everyone reaps great in the Kingdom of God, it is about having authority in the Kingdom of God. In short Christianity is about the Family of God and being active part of it.

When a person who is not a family member stays in the house he is treated well for a few days, after that he is tolerated for another few days and then he is no longer welcome. If that person desires to have good relationship in the house he needs to be part of the family and cannot continue to be guest.

Today's message goes out to all those guests who dwell in the House of God and have not yet become family member. All these who think their rigorous rituals, or their social status or their worldly works or their worldly peace efforts will keep them in the House of God under the Name of Christ are in for a disappointment. God is saying He is going to deal with them they are no longer welcomed in His House, He is going to get rid of them.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord we pray for all those who call themselves Christians but are far from Christ, they do all king of pagan practises like idol worship in the name of a religion called Christianity. There are also those who think their social service work will save them. Lord, if man could be saved by good works, then You coming as man, becoming a sacrifice for us and giving us your Spirit of Truth would have not been necessary. Since there was no way for man and the gates of Heaven were close for man You became the way, the only way. Lord, we pray that Christian understand what it means to be a Christian and live it...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Isaiah 42:1-4

2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

John 8:35 - And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
