Are You Ready to Leave?

Genesis 28:15 - And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

Abraham's father Terah belonged to a well to do family which was in business. He had no financial or worldly problem where he dwelled. But for the Lord he left his comfort zone and moved out.

Abraham too left the comfort of the place where he had settled when he pursued the goodness of the Lord. Isaac left the comfort of the place he dwelled to see a wife for himself only to abide in the Lord's Word. He grew up in the place so surely he must have known some (good) people around. Jacob too followed the footsteps of his father and left the comfort of his dwelling to find himself a wife according to the Lord's Word.

You and I are also told to leave for the Lord. We are not called to leave our family but our own comfort zone to pursue the Lord's promise. Unless we do not leave our comfort zone, our self security, our relations, our high achievements in life and all other worldly things and put them second, we will not be able to receive the great promises of the Lord.

It is not that we will not be blessed if we do not. But to be that special Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses etc. we need to get out of our comfort zones.

Are you ready to put everything else in your life as second priority? Ask yourself this and remind your self this when the world tempts you with fame, riches, power etc...

Special note:
If you are to going get married and are looking for a husband or wife, be like Isaac and Jacob and do not pursue the worldly things first in your spouse, pursue godly things first and then the worldly things.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, You loved us so much that You gave up your only Son to save us. Father, we can not love like You do but help us to at least be able to give up our comfort zones, our worldly securities to received from You greater things...

This we ask in Jesus' Name,Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
