He is King forever

Mark 15: 12,13 - And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews? And they cried out again, Crucify him.

The Bible talks of 2 Saviours one a Prophet greater than Moses and the other a King from the linage of David whose Kingdom is forever; these both were fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

The concept of the Lord coming as man and king came because at the Israelites had rejected God as their King and they wanted a human king, but compared to the Lord there was no king who was worthy for the people. God out of His love came as man to be the perfect King for His people so as to bring them out of bondage and bring victory to them. Jesus is called eternal King because He brings us victory not only in this world but also the real spirit world.

The Jews because they hated the knowledge of God did not recognize Him and thus though Him be like the kings of this world who rule the land and the people dwell in it become subject to him. But Jesus was Lord who came as man, all the land and Heavens is already His, He came not for the land but for the people.

There are 2 things that people fail to understand Jesus the man will not be the humbled being forever but return to the glorious God the Son after He fulfils His Kingship of bringing His people to victory. So Jesus is not forever even though He is for ever. He will one day cease to be man and will be God again but He will never cease to be King.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, due to our corrupt minds we rejected You as King because we wanted to be like the people of the world that led us to bondage and suffering. To deliver us You came as man and by your Spirit cause us to come out of this world and be your people again. You are King and we your mighty soldiers. You need us to victory in every dimension of creation. Lord, we pray we focus our eyes on You alone and be subject to You alone...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 18:18-19
18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

2 Samuel 7:8-17
8 Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:
9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.
10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,
11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house.
12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.
16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.
17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
