Salvation and the Law

Psalms 119:174 - I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.

In the beginning when there was rebellion among the Angels and the light of the LORD was obstructed due to which nothing fruitful was happening God set forth His plans to create mere man to replace and teach the fallen Angels His powers and ability. When God set forth His plans He also created the rules for His plans and that gave birth to the LAW.

Genesis 1:4-5 - And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

We are called the children of the Day or Light when we abide in the law, and children of the night when we obstruct the law. You like it or not the law exists, since God made plans for man to receive God's salvation (replace the fallen Angels and more). The law given through Moses was impossible for man to abide by, instead it condemned man further. Then through Jesus came the help which gives us the ability to keep the law in spirit and truth. The law did not change but its understanding changed, the strength and courage to keep it comes from God Himself.

The law is good and keeps us in the day (to receive our salvation), do not go by the text (like the Jews and Muslims do) but by the understanding. The Light (Spirit of God) reveals the truth and also gives us the strength to keep us in the day. At the end, the people who dwell in the day will receive God's salvation and the people of the night will be consumed.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Father God, I want to always be in your light, to dwell in the day and thus be in your presence always to worship You and to sing your praises. Lord by your Spirit reveal the truth to me and give me the strength to abide in your law which will allow me to receive your salvation. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scripture ]

John 12:36a
36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.

Ephesians 5:8
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

1Thessalonians 5:5-8
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
