Let your good works glorify your Father

Matthew 5:16 - Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Have you had someone come to you when you did something great or being impressed by you, asked you who's son or daughter you are? It might be your work or just by your character / nature which impressed them.

But if you want someone to come to you and ask you about your Father in Heaven, you need to do some great beyond your earthly father or any human.

Ask yourself how many times has someone come to you and asked you, who your God is? How many times did you impress others by the power of God working in you? If this has not happened, then you need to give thought to your relationship with your Father in Heaven and allow his power to work in you, to glorify Him through you. It may be his works through you or even his character in you that can do the job.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, I am sorry that I have failed You many a times, when I did not allow my self to be used by You to glorify You. Father, help me surrender myself by nailing my flesh and letting your Spirit work in me. Use me Lord so that all mankind may know You are truly the only Living God. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Matthew 5:13-16
13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
