Humility

The times that we are experiencing are the most trying and difficult that any generation has known. If it were not for the sound under girding of the Word of God, many of us would be swept into the abyss of unbelief. You know as well as I do that most of the time we resort to 'our own understanding' rather than follow the admonition of the Lord to 'lean NOT unto thine own understanding.'

The following I am sure will bless your heart. May I suggest that you practice such a rest in the Lord:

'Humility is perfect quietness of heart. It is for me to have no trouble; never to be fretted or vexed or irritated or sore or dis-appointed. It is to expect nothing, to wonder at nothing that is done against me. It is to be at rest when nobody praises me, and when I am blamed or despised. It is to have a blessed home in the Lord, where I can go in and shut the door, and kneel to my Father in secret and am at peace as in a deep sea of calmness when all around and above is trouble. It is the fruit of the Lord Jesus Christ's redemptive work on Calvary's Cross manifest in those of His own who are definitely subjected to the Holy Spirit.'

Is not this a true picture of a real Christian? Let us all examine ourselves in light of this definition.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
