Do Not Give In

My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in to them. -- Proverbs 1:10

The real issue isn't "if" but "when"! Our children face tremendous peer pressure. We do, too! We must help them resist the enticements of this pressure. Also, we must never tire in resisting them ourselves. We receive the power to resist when we are in the presence of the Lord. We come in the presence when we thank Him and praise Him. So when we are getting enticed thank and praise the Lord for delivering you, when there is light, darkness has to depart. Another way is to take a promise (scripture) and bombard your situation be confessing it repetitively till it departs or is taken into control.


[ Prayer for the Day ]

O God, I do face temptations and enticements. Please guard my heart, my life, and my example. Help me be a person of character and integrity. In addition, please enable me to lead, protect, guard, and warn my children -- both those who are my children in the flesh and those in the faith. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
