Babylonian University

Daniel 1:3,4 - And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes; Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.

Since the Israelites had disobeyed the Lord even after the great things that the Lord had done for them, the Lord delivered them into the hands of King King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who was a Chaldean king.

After the rule of King David and King Solomon the empire of the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar was well known along with the Lydian, the Median & the Egyptian empires. The Babylonian empire in the 600BC spread over a very large area but was smaller compared to the other empires yet in History it will never be forgotten. It was during the times of King Nebuchadnezzar the Babylonians gave us the era of science. It was the efforts of King Nebuchadnezzar that the first university in the world where the best of the learned people gathered together to pursue the frontiers of knowledge and technology. They did give us many things which we people today are benefiting from but along with the good, they being Chaldeans (meaning cold-breakers) were people also pursuing things like black magic, spiritism and other evils. King Nebuchadnezzar was well known for the very beautiful capital and especially for the Babylon Gate also known as Ishtar (pronounced Easter) Gate.

In today's scripture King Nebuchadnezzar had instructed his army head to bring the best of the Israelites who would benefit the agenda of the Babylonian empire. God's favour was on King Nebuchadnezzar because the Israelites sinned against Him.

The Babylonian empire after Jesus coming as man is the same story. It was since the early church pursued concepts of the Nicolaitans (Heretic teachers) that the Lord allowed the Babylonian rule on the church.

Hold it, I have not got my history confused the Babylonian era I am referring to is the rule of the Catholic Church. Like the Babylonian empire this empire to also along with many good things also gave a lot of corrupt which even today have misleads many Christians. This started institutes for Bible study but corrupted these studies with things from other beliefs. Like next Sunday the Believers would be celebrating Resurrection Sunday and those still under this Babylonian rule will celebrate Easter Sunday.

The Catholics celebrate things like Palm Sunday, Last Supper, Good Friday and Easter Sunday and they have each and every one of them wrong. If one goes into studying the Bible properly one would wonder what they are celebrating (Jesus died not on a Friday but on a Thursday and Last Supper – Jesus and His disciples celebrated the Feast of the Unleavened Bread was done a week before the real Passover it was the time they chose the Passover sacrifice lamb into the home - Jesus died the evening before the real Passover just like the lamb was killed the evening before the Passover which fell on a Friday at that time).

No doubt for a believer a day or date is not important but understand the purpose of celebrations is to witness to the unbelievers and those growing in the faith, so by not celebrating at least in line with the order of the days of the events of the passion of Christ we cause confusion in the minds of people and people lose the understanding of what Jesus did.

We even have now more confusion added with the latest book of the Pope on how the Jews were not responsible for the death of Jesus Christ on the crucifix trying to disapprove scriptures and please people. Hypothetically if a post-mortem was done the reports would have shown Jesus died of heart rupture for the way Jesus was nailed and hung and the way He bleed the first organ that fails is the heart. Even after the punishment by the Jews, Jesus was tortured by the Romans and He did not die in that punishment but that does not mean their hand in His death can be ruled out. Jew being under the rule of the Romans at that time did not have the right to crucify anyone. They needed the okay of the Romans.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, your people are blinded by the words of people and far from the understanding of what You did on the crucifix and all the events before and after that. Man has yet not received all the benefits of your sacrifice for they lack understanding and are under the strongholds of deceit. Lord, we prayer that open the minds of many to know all that You accomplished for us on the Cross and it is not just pertaining to the events on the crucifix...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

1 Chronicles 6:15
15 And Jehozadak went into captivity, when the LORD carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

Revelation 1:1-7
1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Matthew 26:17-19
17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
19 And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

Exodus 12:18-21
18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.
19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
