The Lord challenges you to not be satisfied

Malachi 3:10,11 - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

People crib and cry that they lack in food, materials, health, time etc...

The Lord is telling us today 'enough of this cribbing and crying about lacking'. He is openly challenging the generations of man to tithe (righteous giving - previously was 10percent and now according to what the Lord guides) both our earnings and our time.

People due to greed in their heart give a small part and try to justify themselves. They would try to find excuses like tithing 10 percent was in the Old Testament in the New Testament it is not 10 percent. This they are partly right, but this happens only if the Lord has spoken to you. Has the Lord spoken to you to give less? When He told you to give more did you?

There are some who tithe 10 percent of their earnings but do not tithe their time. They do not spend time praying, reading / studying the Word, evangelizing and preaching His God Good News, spending time with the needy, serving the community (believers first and non-believers later) etc..

Just spending time with the needy even if one gives one's whole life for it does not make one righteous. That's the reason Jesus said to Judas when Mary anointed Him with precious anointment 'For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always'.

We may not have Jesus physically here with us, but we have the Lord - His Spirit here with us. Not giving our tithes to the Lord (for Lord's Kingdom - people who preach and evangelize) and justifying by giving only to the poor is like saying 'the Lord is not with me' or 'His Kingdom is not going to come'. This it self acknowledges the reason why we struggle.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, You have blessed us abundantly through our fore fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. We became inheritors to theses blessings through our faith in Lord Jesus Christ. It is our lack of faith which is shown by our unrighteous acts that we do not receive our blessings. Lord our faith not be verbal but in truth (thought, word and deed). Give us the courage to stand for the truth and face our own selves...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Matthew 26:6-13
6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
7 There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.
13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
