The Mysteries of God

Proverbs 30:4 - Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

Can a Christian imagine reading this scripture from the book of Proverbs and not knowing it is about Jesus Christ / Son of God? But this same scripture was and is regularly read by the Jews but yet you will find this is a mystery for them. Very few Christians interact with the Hebrew text or know the language, but that is not the case with Jews. Jews are taught Hebrew as part of their religious study (which is a must) yet we find the understandings of scriptures are a mystery to them.

The same is the case with the Catholics they will confess the basic elementary knowledge of God as mysteries even in their prayers and they will never try to study these mysteries or understand them. For them and for the Jews their God is a mysterious God Who does not desire to reveal Himself or make Himself known, He keeps Himself behind a curtain forever. Yet the Jews and Catholics will do the most foolish of things against God. The Catholics make images of God; they depict God as an old man because the word Ancient is associated with Him. Same with the Jews who coined a name for their unknown God from the constant YHWH they gave Him a name Yahweh. Then this name Yahweh denied them to know who this YHWH is. If they had not come with the name Yahweh they would have possibly studied the word YHWH and would have known the mystery behind today's message.

Just for the knowledge of those who do not know it. The Hebrew characters are also rooted into ideogram like the Egyptian text characters. The word YHWH according to their respective ideograms represents 'Behold the Hand Behold the Nail' which represents Jesus Christ, in other words YHWH was none other than Christ before He came as man.

What then is the name of God (Father or Son before He came as man)? One man did ask God this question and God told him, I AM WHO I AM. When Jesus referred to God, He did not use the name Yahweh or any other of the terms (names) Jews use for God. He used only 2 terms one 'Father' which in Greek means Creator, Provider, Protector and the other term He used is 'I AM'.

I too had many thoughts on the name of God until one day I was shocked to know the Truth.

There are 2 terms when we use the term name. One is the identity and the other is the tag. If one is in IT they would use the terms product description and product code.

If we read the prayer of Jesus in John 17 we see Jesus states He protects His people with the Name of the Father, the Name which the Father has given Him. Here Jesus is not speaking about product code the name Jesus but the product description His Nature. He states the Nature of the Father which is in Him and it is by this Nature He protects His people, when we are in this Nature we too have authority in the Lord.

Coming to product code, does God have a name like we humans have a name? Let me answer it this way, did the first human have a name? No. You may be surprise at this.

Understand the first human was called Adam which in Hebrew means man, so we humans are all huadams, sound funny right. We have associated the Hebrew word for man as a name to the first human. Name came only when God created the second human.

Adam who identified all the animals according to their nature gave the name 'Woman' to the second being. The word Woman comes from the root meaning servant / champion of man. In other words she who was made as helper for man got the name 'champion for man'. This product code became a product description to all females and later a new product code was given to the second being. After the first man and woman were cursed Adam came to realize that life is not forever for he would be deprived of eternal life via denial of access to the Tree of Life and now life would continue only through his wife therefore he called her Eve which means life.

We see the first human did not really have a name. Name came only with the existence of another human. When Moses asked God (the word used is Devine One) His name, God said 'I AM WHO I AM' but Jesus used the term 'I AM' not 'I AM WHO I AM' and that too to Himself.

We need to understand we cannot dare to ask God His name for if we do we acknowledge the existence of another god or gods. There is only one God and since He alone exists He has no name for He is His own Name. Jesus is the name of the human who humbled and became man. As God Jesus too has no name for He too is I AM for He is inseparable part of the Great I AM (The Father).

Today's scripture does not question is what is the name of God or His Son but tells us can They have a name.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You alone are God and there is none like You. Father from You came the Son and is still an inseparable part of You. The only thing that identifies You is Who You Are, your Nature and it is in your Nature all Heavenly being have power. That is why You alone are called Holy and the Heavenly being call out to You as Holy, Holy, Holy (thrice - Father, Son, Spirit). Lord let us know there is power not in the word Jesus but in His identity and Nature which is your Nature. It is only when we are in His Nature do we have authority and Heavenly power...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
