The Ten Commandments

1 Corinthians 7:19 - Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

When Moses was given the Commandments they were total ten on the two tablets and they were written by the finger of God (the Holy Spirit).

When I was not in the Lord I was given a set of Ten Commandments which I believed were the Ten which the Lord had given to Moses. But when I started reading the Bible I saw a difference between the ones in the Bible and the ones I was given. The second commandment is something which has been deleted and replaced by breaking the last Commandment into two.

This has been intentionally done by man so that they can get away breaking the Commandments and still making people feel that they are following the Word of God. This arrangement satisfied both the people flesh which wants to disobey God and those who did it; to meet their commercial ends by not offending the people.

The TEN COMMANDMENTS

Commandment 1
Exodus 20:3

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Commandment 2
Exodus 20:4-6

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Commandment 3
Exodus 20:7

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Commandment 4
Exodus 20:8-11

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Commandment 5
Exodus 20:12

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Commandment 6
Exodus 20:13

13 Thou shalt not kill.

Commandment 7
Exodus 20:14

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Commandment 8
Exodus 20:15

15 Thou shalt not steal.

Commandment 9
Exodus 20:16

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Commandment 10
Exodus 20:17

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

I want to ask you, is this not deceiving the innocent and misleading them unto destruction?

A few days back I was at a service and I saw the person conducting the service putting a slide show with all lies. He was getting away with murder (spiritually killing people by misleading them) because either in the congregation did not read the Bible or they would not dare to question the person because of authority.

What about God in all this?

Where does the authority of God come? Is man's word to be respected more than God's?

I can not always blame the leaders for if we want to continue in ignorance or heedlessness.

Are you aware that Adam fell into sin because he was a silent spectator top Satan tempting Eve, even when he knew it was wrong. He ate the forbidden fruit because he did not want to offend Eve. He had put Eve above God.

If you are also following man, then continue what you are doing. But if you want your salvation, then follow God and His Word. Learn to voice the truth even if the world stands against you. But what ever you do, do it in love so that you first try to save that person, if that person still wants to continue, then the person has bought himself his destruction and you are not responsible for him or her.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, Forgive us for out of ignorance and fear of man we have been not keeping your Word and hurting You. Let the fear of You come in all your people that they may open their eyes and acknowledge You more than men who say they are from You. Let your mercy be upon your people...

We ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican (Greek 'telones' which is made of two words, which means 'one who has bought his own destruction').

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
