Pray for Jerusalem

Psalms 122:6 - Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

When the Lord spoke of Jerusalem in Old Testament it meant the people of Israel that lived in that place. But since the Old Testament is a shadow therefore the real Jerusalem which the Lord meant was something else. The word Jerusalem in Hebrew (Strong <03389>) means 'teaching of peace'. It meant the people of God who preached peace; not peace between people, but peace firstly with God and then with his people, which means those who are preaching God's Word.

The people of Jerusalem were Israelites who were descendants of Abraham and according to the promise given to Abraham anyone who blessed them were blessed and those who cursed them were cursed by the Lord. Today the Lord is telling us that these people who are doing his work - the people of Jerusalem need our prayers and the Lord is also saying that those who are going to love and prayer for them; them He will prosper. So you now have an opportunity that you should use, open your hearts and pray for them (do include me) and also in anyway you can support them please do.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Lord Jesus, your disciples are doing their work among us and they are going through difficulties. Lord due to your righteousness You want us to pray for them. Lord I lift my hands up towards the Holy Mountains of the Heavens and call out on You, hear me Lord according to your Word strengthen your workers. Build them in You and put your Angels round about them and deliver them from all dangers. We bind those powers and curse them that come against your workers. This we pray with the authority we have in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
