Do not be a Hypocrite

1 John 4:20 - If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

We can fool people by putting an image of being godly, by our speech and our exterior makeup, but on the inside if we hate our bother (includes sisters and does not mean only of blood) then can we truly be godly?

If one of the two most important commandments is 'love thy neighbor as thyself'. A neighbor is another Israelite (who we all who believe in Jesus Christ are, therefore is another believer) or even a person who dwell among them, meaning a person who acknowledges the faith. Therefore if we do not love another believer or a person who acknowledges our Lord as God, and hate them for any reason whatsoever, then we cannot truly say we love God.

This hypocrisy also deprives us of our prayers being answered or from us receiving our blessing. So if not for God's sake, at least for our own sake we should not hate our neighbor, so let's reconcile with them and love them.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, forgive me for not reconciling with my neighbor and showing your love to them, the way You loved me. Lord, give me the strength to overcome my own self to do this task. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Matthew 22:37-40
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
