Understanding evil

Matthew 27:23 - And he said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out exceedingly, saying, Let him be crucified.

There is a saying "one man's food is another man's poison". The concept of evil and good is relative from one person to another and therefore a debate on it can go on between mankind for years without end. It is only when God comes in the picture that the real understanding of good and evil is understood. We should not confuse between evil and sin. Sin is breaking of a Commandment (law) of God. It was only when God gave an instruction to man and man did not abide by it, that sin came into mankind. There is no doubt that evil is the mother / father of sin.

God did not create evil yet evil came into existence through Satan, whom God created. We can understand evil when we understand how it came into existence into Satan.

Satan was an important being in Heaven and in Heaven all things are good so was Satan. Like mankind on earth eats and drinks for the purpose of living so also in Heaven the Fruit(s) of the Tree of Life and the precious things in Heaven (described as jewels and precious metals) are freely available and meant to be taken as needed, but when Satan started taken more and more of them without purpose he gave birth to the first evil which is greed. Greed got in pride, deceit and so on all evil came into existence in him.

God is light and light has a purpose, so also all creation of God has purpose and that purpose is to prosper for good. God did not, does not and will not do anything if it does have the purpose of true prosperity. Darkness came into existence when evil came into existence in Satan. Darkness obstructs light like evil obstructs the purpose of God which is prosperity. Thus evil has no purpose but to destroy and if understood is only vanity.

All what Jesus did had purpose and the purpose was for the goodness of mankind. Each and every word and deed Jesus spoke or did was to glorify the Father and build man, showing him the true way to the Father. He became the first true light in man and it is this light which is passed unto us when we receive Jesus and walk in His ways. It is this light in us which will overcome the darkness bought into existence by Satan.

God allowed Satan to fall so that by the testimony of the victory of light overcoming darkness there will never be darkness again.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You are light and You are before all creation. You created the Heavens and this creation, and all beings that exist in them. You made all things with purpose and the purpose is good. Lord, You humbled Yourself and became a sacrifice so that through your light shining in man the darkness even in the (lower) Heavens will cease to exist. The glory which existed in You before creation will be restored and be lifted higher. Lord, we pray that everything we do be with understanding and with the right purpose so that evil will not make home in us...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
