Plans belong to man but answering is His

Proverbs 16: 1 - The plans of the heart belong to man; But the answer of the tongue is from Jehovah.

Since the time I came to the Lord and started attending preachings, many of the preachers would preach about making visions and trusting in the Lord to bring them to pass.

Among the most famous scripture they took was Genesis 1:2-4 which states God first spoke and then saw implying do not go by sight but first speak to your situations. Another famous scripture was Habakkuk 2:2 - "And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it".

In the first scripture they did not says that was not man but God who is all knowing and in the second scripture they leave the scripture before which talks of being a watchman for the Lord, standing on the tower and being reproved. It was after that the Lord speaks of giving the vision.

Jesus put it very clearly that everything that we ask we will not get but only if they are good for us, according to the will (Kingdom) of God, glorifies God or helps us grow in the Lord.

Today's message is very clear we may make our own plans and build castles in the air but our plans getting fulfilled or the castle becoming reality depends on the Lord and the Lord has make it clear it will be done only if they abide by the conditions stated before. Unless we do not delight in the Lord we will not get the desires of our hearts met.

There is one more thing we should know, we ask because we lack but there will come a time as we grow in the Lord when we will not ask; Jesus says when our joy is complete in the Lord we will not ask.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, we lack because we are far from You. Our hearts Lord are far from You and our joy is not in the things your Kingdom. Lord, we pray that we know more of your Kingdom, your will, work for your glory in our lives and our surroundings and grow into becoming your Sons so that our joy is complete and we do not lack in anything...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

John 16:20-27
20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.
