You are approved and accepted, if...

2 Corinthians 10:18 - For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

The meaning of the word commended (Greek 'sunistao') is approved. The word written as approved in Greek ('dokimos') means more as accepted. So the above scripture should be understood as:

For he that approves himself is not accepted, but whom the Lord approves.

Here too there is big difference between the first approve and the second approve. This we know by the TVM of the words. The first approve has the TVM - Present, Active & Participle (-ing or -ed). The second approve has the TVM Present, Active & Indicative (The indicative mood is a simple statement of fact).

Therefore the difference between the two approves are: the first approve is because of what one has done or is doing and the second approve is because coming to the knowledge of something.

You and I are not accepted by God because of what you and I have done or are doing but only because of what Jesus Christ has done for us and we have come to the knowledge of it.

Almost all people living in the modernized world know what Jesus Christ has done, but there are very few who have come to the knowledge of it. To come to the knowledge of it, you need to get attached to it and be a part of it. This process of being attached to what Jesus Christ has done by becoming a sacrifice for us is also called - being born again.

When you and I are born again in the Lord we receive the blessings of our father Abraham.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, I was and am not worthy to come to You or receive the blessings of father Abraham. It is only because of your love demonstrated for me in Jesus Christ that I have being made worthy to be accepted by You. Help me to always come to the knowledge of this in my everyday life that I may receive the blessings of father Abraham. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
