Daughters to Sons by eating His Flesh

Lamentation 2:1 - How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!

In the Bible there is the natural gender and also a spiritual gender. When one knows why God created the natural gender then would one know about the spiritual gender.

In the beginning God knew Lucifer would fall and He allowed this so that He could do something better out of this. God created man in spirit exactly like the Angels but being made in the flesh was lower than the Angels. The Angels have no gender yet they are called Sons of God. The Hebrew word 'ben' translated as son comes from the Hebrew word 'banah' which means built. Thus the term Sons of God means built like God.

When God created man (both male and female), they had the image of God in them that is why the gender 'he' or 'male' was used for them. But when God created the natural man He created the physical body of male from dust and put the spirit of the man into it. It is written when the spirit man was put in the body his soul (inner-man) came alive, meaning became mouldable. When man dies natural death again the inner-man become un-mouldable, that is why one can be saved only when one is alive.

Every seed has a plant within it which grows and becomes a tree. A mango seed will give birth to a mango tree, an apple seed an apple tree, mango seed does not give an apple tree nor an apple seed gives a mango tree, similarly spirit man comes alive in the body and grows into what God has planned in him. But how big, healthy or fruitful tree one grows into depends on the soil one is growing in, how well rooted one is, how much sunlight and water one gets. The natural tree does not make its choice where to grow but we humans can. We can decide or even change the soil we grow in; we can move out from one place and be planted in another.

Everything God created has purpose and meaning and we can understand the spiritual things from their earthly design. That is why it is written He created them in 'His image' or in 'their image'. 'His image' means the image of things of His Kingdom and 'their image' means the image of kingdom of darkness. When God created things He said it is good even though part of creation was made in an evil (their) image. When man who was given dominance over this creation was in the image of God all this were good, but when the image in man got corrupt due to sin, creation too came to know evil and that evil images started showing up.

Coming to the natural gender difference, when God created woman He did not create woman in the same process as He created man. God took a bone from man and created a woman. Like every creature is made in an image so also every part of the body too has an understanding and in its understanding we can understand spiritual things.

The bone symbolizes nature or character and flesh symbolizes desires, similarly every organ symbolizes something. We see even though Jesus was wounded yet none of His bones were allowed to be broken. Scriptures also state, God maintains the bones (character) of those who love Him. We thus see woman who in spirit has the image of God, but in the natural woman was make in the nature of man. That is why even though there is no discrimination between male and female in the Bible yet scriptures instruct woman (made in the image of man in the natural) to submit to man (made in the image of God in the natural).

Now coming to Zion; like creation was made for the understanding of spiritual things, so also almost all names in the Bible have a purpose and understanding, including the names of places. Zion means fortified city. It is not actually a name of a place, but a term given by David to Jerusalem during his time even though there was no wall around the city at that time. This term symbolizes a spiritual state of growth and is the highest level of spiritual growth. It starts with Egypt (which means 'dual strait' and symbolizes a child of God also living a worldly life) and ends with Zion (a fully developed Israel or a Son of God). But even these spiritual stages there are sub divided into daughters and sons, the daughter being a person in that stage of growth but still weak in the flesh (desires) and son meaning one who has overcome the flesh.

If we read in today's message we see the Lord rebuking the daughters of Zion, but when we read scriptures with regards to sons of Zion, we see the Lord praising then and taking pride in them.

The Lord is telling us today even though we may be spiritually grown yet we can still be daughter means weak in the flesh. Jesus said unless we eat His flesh (desires) we cannot have life. So overcome our worldly desires we need to make the desires of the Lord our own.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You made all things good and for the understanding of man. You made it possible for man to know You and come to You from the beginning but yet man could not see that way. Then You came as man and manifested the way unto us. But your sacrifice You gave us your Spirit of Truth who reveals and guides us along the way unto You. We pray Lord that we make your flesh our flesh and thus overcome our worldly desires and live in the desires of your Kingdom, thus become Sons of God...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.
