Discern a person of God

Proverbs 15:13 - A merry [joyful] heart maketh a cheerful countenance [face]: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Just yesterday evening I was meditating on this matter and today the Lord gave us this scripture. Praise God!

There are many who work in the Kingdom of God and many a times there are situations where the understandings between them do not match. There is nothing wrong in this, for if one really understands the Bible this ought to happen as one grows in spiritual maturity and understanding.

But there are times when the differences are very serious and the understandings are tangent to each other, at such times this should not be taken likely for the wrong can derail one's life totally (spirit life). People who are blessed with discernment will be able to catch the wrong from the right but what about the others.

There are some clues which one can take note of to discern; the life of that person and his countenance (face). If a person preaching of the Living God and does not have relationship with Him can be easy caught. He or she will be perpetually in problems and struggling in all areas of one's life. It is not necessary that one needs to be really blessed in material things, for too much material blessings can also be a concern for a Man / Woman of God.

In the Bible the most blessed man was more than satisfied but not really rich. For example Abraham was rich but compared to the people living during that time he was not the Richie Rich. He had an average size army of his own and an asset; which today is comparatively to a business empire of a respected, successful business man of today will have.

The only super rich people in the Bible were David and his son Solomon. Understand that both went through serious tests due to this blessing, in which one managed to pass but the other failed.

It does not mean a Man of God will be a rich person, but neither will he be a beggar in want all the time. Even if he is from a lower section of society, yet he will be satisfied in his needs.

The other more important thing to look out for in a Man or Woman of God is joy. It is sad to see a person called him or herself as a person of God with sadness written perpetually on one's face.

Any person really knowing God and having the seed of truth in them will have joy in them which will be felt by others around him or her even when things are bad this joy will not be suppressed for long in them. It will erupt like a volcano and the world will pause and take note of it like the volcano of Iceland happening now.

A person having sadness always on one's face shows a spirit inside them which is not a spirit associated with the Lord. Such people are best to be kept at arm's length. They can be infectious like H1N1.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord God, the Heavens thunder with your joy and life blooms when You laugh. It is the truth that brings joy. You Word is Truth and when this Word is in us nothing can keep us down. Lord, bring the revelation of your Word in your people that they may experience that everlasting joy in them...

We make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Nehemiah 8:9-10
9 And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.
10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
