It's all about life

John 10:27-28 - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.


Just a few days back as I was traveling in the lift in my building with a person staying in my building and I was encouraging him to attend an outreach. He was a Christian lot into traditions and Church activity but far from God.

He told me I go to Church and do not do any bad, so why do I need to go to these outreaches? What will I get by coming closer to God?

We all need to understand the root of why do we need to be a Christian and that is, we all want to live. Salvation is all about life.

Unless a person does not love life, he or she can not love God. God is the originator and giver of life, so rejecting life is rejecting God. That does not mean we act selfishly only bothered about ourselves and our life.

I am not talking just about the life we live in this world. This life is just a fraction percentage of the life we have ahead. But the things we do in this fraction percentage will decide for how and where we will live our remaining life.

Our main purpose in life to glorify God and to experience His glory goes hand in hand with life. If only we live can we glorify Him or see His glory.

Therefore to give us life in its fullness, Lord Jesus Christ came as man and became a living sacrifice for us. By His sacrifice we receive His Spirit Who guides and intercedes for us. When we hear His voice and follow Him, He assures us of eternal life and life of fullness.

If you love God, love life; if you love life, love Lord Jesus Christ; if you love Lord Jesus Christ, love His Spirit; if you love His Spirit, love His Word and follow it, then you will surely experience and come to know God, have eternal life and enjoy the fullness of it.

Father God, You are our creator and giver of life. Lord God, we live because of You. You made us so that we may live and receive abundance in life. Our sins and the sins of our ancestors due to the rebellious hearts caused death unto us by the law. But your grace through your Son Jesus Christ bought hope of a new eternal life unto us. Lord Jesus, You gave us your Spirit to guide us and lead us unto eternal life which You have made available for us by your sacrifice. Lord by your grace change our hearts that we may follow your Spirit via your Word...

John 17:1-8
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others. (All rights are with God)
