Disagreement in marriage

1 Corinthians 7:15 - But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

Marriage is very wrongly understood by most during old days when couples in marriage use to stick and even today when people hop between marriages like monkeys on trees.

Marriage has nothing to do with romance. Marriage is called a small Church and romance is not what the Church is built on. The difference between love and romance is like between love and lust. That does not mean a married couple should not romance in marriage. God has allowed romance in marriage but wants us to get over it as soon as possible and understand the truth. It was for this reason that under the Law married couples were given a year's honeymoon break (Deuteronomy 24:5).

Like the Church is built on the Truth, so should a marriage be built on the Truth. When two believers get together in marriage the only thing that can keep them apart is when one sieges to live. Even when they have disagreement between them and agree to part, yet they cannot get marriage again as per the Word of God. This arrangement is still not given an official clearance unless one of them is an unbeliever.

You may talk about the great atrocities in marriage as a case for divorce. These atrocities happen only because the two are not believers or behave like one. If they are true Christians then this situation does not arise.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Lord, I pray from all the marriage couples who have come together in your Name. I pray they understand that You are a part and the purpose of their coming together. Let them understand the Truth and not fall. I make this prayer in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 24:5
5 When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
