You can feed more than five thousand with a LOAF

Malachi 3:10 - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

It is very interesting how the Lord keep revealing more and more of a scripture when one reads it again and again.

As I read the scripture I removed the text which is added for readability, and the scriptures stand as follow:
Malachi 3:10 - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that not enough.

Many people wrongly preach a prosperity gospel. The Lord clearly states throughout the Bible that He will satisfy our needs. The extra that He gives us is not for us but for us to give unto others.

In this scripture the Lord challenges us to give that part and see if we are not satisfied in our needs. The word used for 'meat' is the Hebrew word 'tereph' having root meaning as 'torn piece'.

This scripture can be best understood by the miracle lead by Jesus to feed the five thousand.

Matthew 14:14-21
14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.
17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
18 He said, Bring them hither to me.
19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

If one looks carefully at the way Jesus orchestrated the miracle. One time is there was no loaf leftover only crumbs, which means there was exact number of loaves according to the people. It was at a service the preacher bought this amazing fact to my knowledge. Here Jesus takes a loaf thanks God in advance for the food which all have received, breaks the loaf and gives it to his apostles. They in turn break it and give it to the people and the people do the same among themselves.

Here we notice it was not Jesus alone who performed the miracle but all did the miracle. Jesus just lead them and they followed the procedure.

We have the tendency if we need to give to others we first take our full and give the left over unto others. If anyone person from the lot who were present at that time would have done these the miracle would have not been completed in full.

Each person as soon as received the loaf broke it and gave it to the other. He himself had a full loaf and when he gave the half unto the other it became a full loaf.

This is what the Lord asks us also to do - give a part and see if we will lack?

In the Old Testament they gave their belongings but Jesus asks more of us. He broke Himself and gave unto us and now it us our turn to do the same. When we break or gave a part of ourselves unto others, we are not giving ourselves but Jesus unto others. Like the loaf, Jesus too is multiplied among us.

Ask yourself, today who are you going to give the broken Jesus?

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord Jesus, You lead the crowd to do the great miracle which is spoken of even today. Today You can do even greater miracle through us for they ate the bread and were hungry again, but the miracle that You lead us to do will not leave the person hungry ever. The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
