Do not go unto her and be cut off

Proverbs 2:19 - None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

Today again I have been given to write about the Great Babylon, it is not that I like to do it, for I too would have preferred to write about things which would please people and bring more and more people to read what I post on the various electronic media. In the start as I would only encourage and hardly rebuke or correct the numbers increased in multiples but then my aim is not to bring more people to God but to bring God' people to Him, so I prefer doing what pleases God than what pleases me.

One of the most important points what will cause all those who are Catholics from entering Heaven is their worshiping of humans. I know at the first instance a Catholic will say we do not worship humans, we give reverence to them.

Let us see what the word worship means.

In Hebrew the word is "shachah" <07812> (Strong number) in Aramaic "cegid" <05457>

In Hebrew it is translated according to the grammatical tense (Qal) and (Hithpael) as worship, bow, bow down, obeisance, reverence, fall down etc. In Aramaic it has a flat meaning and means the same.

There is also another Hebrew word "'atsab" <06087> which is translated as worship but written in the Bible in an ironic way and actually means to grieve, hurt, pain etc. used in Jeremiah 44:19.

In Greek the word is "proskuneo" <4352> and implies

1) to kiss the hand to (towards) one, in token of reverence
2) to fall upon the knees and touch the ground with the forehead as an expression of profound reverence
3) kneeling or prostration to do homage (to one) or make obeisance, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication

In other words giving reverence or bowing down before any person or object representing a person like picture or statue is worshipping the person. Also kissing the hand of a person in reverence or of an object symbolizing a person like a picture or statue, is worshipping the person.

If we look at the first 2 Commandments God puts very clearly we cannot put another god before the Lord God and secondly we are not to make any idol of any person alive, dead or in Heaven (which means even of Jesus) and bow to it or worship it.

When we give any person, being, relation or object more importance than God we break the first commandment of putting a god over the Lord God. Jesus as man never glorifies Himself and even had a tussle with His earthly mother in the wedding of Cana concerning this matter. All that Jesus did on earth glorified God and it was only this miracle at the wedding that caused people to glorify Him. This miracle was recorded with its objections so that we know the Truth. Catholics do not realize kissing the hand or ring of the Bishop or Pope is a gesture that symbolizes worshiping the Bishop or Pope or his authority for a ring symbolizes authority.

The second Commandment does not tell us we cannot make idols or statues even pictures (for purpose like teaching or conveying a message), but clearly tells us we cannot give reverence to them or worship them or serve them which means putting flowers to or burning incenses or candles. If we understand the formulae of the perfume which God gave Moses which had the 4 ingredients of stacte, onycha, galbanum and frankincense they collectively symbolized perfect worship and this perfume Lord forbid to be used for any other purpose other than for Him alone. Anyone who did would be cut off from Heaven.

Our God is a jealous God who is not only possessive of His people but also is possessive of His glory and does not allow His glory to be shared by any other. We as humans do not understand this because we are corrupt beings, but God who is perfect cannot be compared to anything or anyone, if He allows it would mean He is corrupt. Since our God is Truth He does not allow it at all that is why we see these 2 factors are at the top of the list of Commandments the Lord God through Moses.

Today's message is a clear warning to Catholics, as practising Catholics they do not have any chance of going to Heaven. It is time they reject the falsehood that keeps them deceived to be people of God and come out of this false church.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, You alone are worthy of our Praise and Worship, for You alone are perfect. Jesus as man although being without blemish, a perfect man did not allow people to worship Him, how then can any being of blemish be worthy of worship. Lord, your people are deceived to bow to idols and people in your name all because they lack knowledge of your Word. Lord we pray today's message be like a sword that pierces their soul and spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Exodus 30:34-38
34 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight:
35 And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy:
36 And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.
37 And as for the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to yourselves according to the composition thereof: it shall be unto thee holy for the LORD.
38 Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people.

Exodus 20:1-6
1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Matthew 4:10 - Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Jeremiah 44:16-19
16 As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.
17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
18 But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.
19 And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

John 4:21-24
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Acts 7:39-43
39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,
40 Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
41 And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

John 2:1-11
1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:
2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.
7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.
9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
10 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.
11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Revelation 18:4-5
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Revelation 2:20-23
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
