Return unto the Lord

Isaiah 55:7 - Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

The Lord has a rule which many may find it unfair - However good or righteous you may be the day you sin all your righteousness is forgotten.

But there is also another rule which may please them - However big sinner you are, the day you repent and forsake your sinful ways, you are forgiven and made righteous.

So returning to the Lord does not mean just repenting for what we have done. It means that we need to forsake the wrong things we have done and commit to the Lord that we will not do it again.

Our God is a God of mercy even his anger is because of his love. So trusting in his love and his mercy, let's return to Him for He wants to forgive us and bless us.

[ Prayer Starter ]

Father God, You are a loving and merciful God. Jesus Christ has bought us unto You and by his sacrifice bought us under your grace. Lord show your mercy on me and forgive us for our sinful way and strength us to walk in your ways and not fall again. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]

Ezekiel 3:17-21
17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
