Where is Christ Born?

Matthew 2:4 -- And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born

When the Messiah was born many were searching for Him all for different reasons. Some to worship Him, some to know out of curiosity who this great being is of whom the stars and prophets foretold? Some to make sure that their interest is not harmed etc...

What is your reason to know the birth of Jesus?

Is it because someone told you, that you are celebrating this occasion?
You need to know who Jesus is and make a personal relation with Him to celebrate; else it is all vanity. I know of a Christian sister married to a non Christian, when she decorated her house with Christmas tree and other decorations everyone liked it. But when she felt emptiness in the celebration she made scrolls and with her two year son wrote scriptures and praises on them and hung them up. Immediately there were objections. They wanted to celebrate Christmas without knowing Jesus!

Are you looking for the Messiah of your life who was sent to rule over God's people?
If so, you need to be one of God's people. For He is King of God's people (Israel) and the others He will come again to destroy. I do not think you will be happy to be in the other side when He comes back.

Whatever is your reason you can either be on this side or that, there is no in between. For was born on that day the greatest stumbling block to all mankind. If it was not for Him we would never have been guilty of our sins, we would have continued to live with sin like it was a part of our being.

Today as we remember His Manifestation from Son of God to Son of man is it going to bring us joy or concern? What is it going to be?

[ Prayer for the Day ]

Father God, today we remember the manifestation of your love. The day your Son humble Himself and became man; man with a mission. Let this mission which He came with; bring joy in us for I want to make Him King in my life. I would not want to face Him but be with Him. I ask this in His very Name, Amen.
