Unclean spirits problem

Mark 5:1,2 - And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

Sometimes people struggle and struggle with a problem even over years also but are unable to overcome. At times these problems are such nothing can be done by them other than someone delivering them, because they are rooted to an unclean spirit.

Please understand all evil is rooted to evil spirits but does not mean all are possessed. There are 3 different states:-

First case is when evil spirits uses our flesh (carnal self) to infect problems into our lives; this is the state most of the time. In these cases taking control of the flesh solves the problem.

Second case is when evil spirits externally torments people and causes problems, such cases does happen some times. In such cases by worship, prayer and fasting by that person, he or she can get rid of these problems.

Third case is when the evil spirit takes hold of the inner man of the person and created problems, these cases are very rare. In these cases that person cannot do anything another person with authority is required to solve this problem by delivering him or her.

When Jesus told his disciples who failed to deliver the young boy from his tormenter, He said by fasting and praying such can be handled. He did not tell the person who was having the problem to fast and pray but to them who were handling the case to do so. He was pointing to the lack of faith in them which did not allow them to handle this problem.

Fasting and praying builds faith and faith bring one into realization of authority and it is only by authority that such cases can be solved. When Jesus said praying here it did not mean request prayer. Most understand prayer as request prayer. When Jesus did the greatest miracles He never made a request prayer, His prayers was either a declaration prayer or grateful prayer. Such prayers are prayers of faith.

The words translated as 'thank' in English are two Greek words - 'exomologeo' <1843> and 'charis' <5485> which means 'to declare / confess' and 'to be grateful' respectively. Both these are prayers of faith (there is another thanks which is connected to feeling - self gratitude).

Prayers of request are done by those when the person does not know God, what God has already given or provided, is asking for something not according to God's will or is having problems communicating with the Lord. Jesus did make such a prayer only once that was when He was very weak in spirit and that was just before His crucifixion.

Worshiping God is also referred as prayers and is prayers of declaring and gratefulness which should be done not sometimes but unceasingly.

We all are weak some or other time in our lives and do make requesting prayers, but being always weak in spirit is a matter of concern.

Let us build our faith at we may understand the authority which Jesus Christ has given is so that we bind the evil spirits which are tormenting the people of God.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord Jesus, we thank You for You. You gave us authority over sickness, weakness and over unclean spirits. Lord, help us build our faith so that we realize the authority we carry and by this authority we help your people who are tormented by them...

This prayer we make in Your Mighty Name, Amen.

Matthew 17:15-21
15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
