Captivating every thought to the obedience of Christ

2 Corinthians 10:3,4,5 - For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Today's message summarizes the previous two messages in itself. The message day before yesterday 'Mysteries in the Word of God' and yesterday's message 'Dying to the world' is confirmed and emphasized in today's message.

The Lord is only again telling us to bring the so called Theology (Theo means God and Logy means science or study, therefore Theology means study of God) to the obedience of Christ. Jesus Christ obeyed the Word of God and that is expected of us too.

If it is not the Word of God where do we come to know God? If we are referring to any source contrary to the Word then which god are we studying? Our God is one and there can not be two personalities to Him. Thus to study the true and only God we need to study the Word of God - the Bible alone.

This world compromises and distorts God because it lives in the flesh. Though we are made in flesh we are not to be lead by the flesh but be led by the Spirit. It is only when we are lead by the Spirit can we bring all our thoughts, imaginations and high thinking which is contrary to the truth into captivity unto the obedience of Christ / the Word.

Today I once again ask you to die to your flesh by being led by the Spirit of God and to open your Bibles and confirm all the beliefs you have been following till date. If the Word of God does not have it, then ask yourself 'does it build me in God?', 'does it make me come closer to Him?' If not, then put all of them in a garbage bag and throw them like yesterdays bad rubbish, never to bring back.

Father God, the world distorts You because it does not want You. It does not want us to come know You and to receive our blessings in You. It conspirers on behalf of Satan to destroy us and let us not be part of the Body of Christ. Lord by your Spirit bring us to see the truth and not be destroyed by lies. We ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others. (All rights are with God)
