All falsehood shall perish

Isaiah 19:7 - The paper reeds [bare place] by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.

Yesterday we were given a message about being alert of the preachers and to discern their teaching with the Word of God. We are to note every scriptural reference that they give and confirm them to the understanding they give.

I was very happy when I read the message we received today from the Lord. In today's message the Lord is telling us He will cause the Truth to be revealed more and more and soon all falsehood would cease to exist.

The word translated as brook in the KJV-AV is also translated as Nile in the other versions. The Nile was worshipped as a god by the Egyptians and when we read the chapter it was a message to the Egyptians. The Hebrew word translated as Egypt means 'double strait' symbolizing people with 2 understanding. It symbolized people of God when they worshipped the other gods along with the Lord when they were in the land of Egypt (double understanding).

We still have many Christian who still dwell in the land of Egypt. These are the ones who worship earthly gods like money, fame, power, prosperity, worldly love, lust etc. while they worship the Lord. It is this reason we see these preachers giving worldly teachings in the Name of the Lord. One simple test to identify a preacher is to see the way he or she lives his or her life, if he or she lives a life of pleasure or a sober life. We should not get into the circumstances of their surrounding for we will err if we do. We all grow and are moulded so the circumstances around us exist to change us, therefore would be a wrong thing to look at circumstances to know a person. Jesus said to know a person know what comes out of them, what they speak, what they think, what they do, what they like, what they desire, their priorities... know the tree by its fruits. When I see preacher who talk of possessing worldly things like latest phone, latest car or latest gadgets, desire to eat good, tasty food, dine at famous restaurant, go for exotic holidays then I know I need to scrutinize every word that comes of his or her mouth.

Over the years I have learnt to test a Man of God ask him out for tea or a quick bite and take him to one of the more economical eat-outs, or call them over to the house and offer him what you eat regularly and then see the true Man of God in him.

The Lord is telling those who still dwell in Egypt that the Lord is soon going to attend to their way of life. He is going to cause their gods to tremble and these people will be made to break down from within. He will cause them to fight between their own, leaders will fight against leaders, there will be infighting between their Church heads, and their churches will fight against other churches. Lastly they would resort to evil ways to get their means and the Lord will deliver them to the evil one.

[ Prayer Starter ]
Lord, there are wolves among your sheep that are disguised as your sheep. They speak of your Kingdom but their hearts are in this worldly kingdom. They mislead your sheep with smooth words and smooth teachings, teachings that are not to correct by to please those who are lost or wavering. Lord, we pray more of your spirit of boldness for those who are yours. May the darkness be bought to light by your Spirit so that darkness does not remain...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[ Reference Scriptures ]
Isaiah 19:1-4
1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.

Matthew 23:25-26
25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 You blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Mark 7:21-23
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

1 Timothy 3:1-13
1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desires a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that rules well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

The Word of God was given free to us, therefore we should also share it freely with others.
